Welcome to Solid Rock Children & Youth Ministries where we partner with families to help young people grow in Christ. Through active worship, deep discipleship, fun fellowship, and hands-on service, we guide students to anchor their lives in faith. Solid Rock Children & Youth Ministries operates under the leadership of our Children and Youth Minister, the Reverend Marci Rollins-Smart and the supervision of the Christian Education Board.
Sunday
Sunday School (Children & Youth) provides age-appropriate, interactive Bible lessons every Sunday morning, helping kids and teenagers build a strong foundation of faith alongside peers their own age. Sunday mornings @ 8:45 in the Christian Education Center
Children’s Church allows our little learners to worship in an age-appropriate environment. Ages three (must be potty-trained) through kindergarten, our Children’s Church follows Sunday School.
Junior Church allows kids to worship in their own way, exiting the sanctuary shortly after the main service begins for a kid-friendly message tailored just for them. Junior Church is for students in first through fifth grade.
Nursery (Ages 0-2) provides a safe, clean, and loving environment during church services, giving parents peace of mind while our littlest ones are cared for by trusted volunteers. Located in the Christian Education Center.
Wednesday
After School Program provides a safe, nurturing space for local students to receive academic support, enjoy positive mentorship, and build lasting friendships. Offered on Wednesdays, 2:30-5:30. Limited spots available and students must be pre-registered with current permission and medical release forms on file. This program has a weekly fee.
Children & Youth Wednesday Night Classes & Activities give our children and youth a relaxed, open space to dive into Scripture, ask tough questions, and navigate life together with biblical wisdom. Activities include preparation for Youth Sundays (children’s choir, handbell choir, drama team, etc…) and Bible class time. Wednesdays 5:45 pm-6:45 pm
Fall & Spring
Upward Sports provides a fun, positive, and encouraging environment where children can learn athletic skills, build character, and discover teamwork through a Christ-centered sports experience. Currently, we are in our 4th season of Flag Football (Grades 1st-8th grade) & Cheerleading (Age 4, prior to Oct. 1, through 8th Grade). Practice on Fridays at 6 pm; Games run October 17-November 21 on Saturdays starting at 9 am. Soccer will be held in the spring.
